Conveniently located between Dallas, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana, Cecil Pond Ranch has been in operation for over 40 years.

We breed for strong bone, heavy muscling, good balance, straight correct legs, quiet disposition, a high degree of intelligence, outstanding athletic ability, and an abundance of cow sense - we breed the type of horse the founders of the American Quarter Horse Association set as their standard.

All of our horses "work". They perform various ranch duties here and at other ranches. Our bloodlines include some of the greatest cow horses ever: Joe Bailey, Joe Hancock, Doc Bar, Mr. San Peppy, Docs Wrangler, Docs Budha, Sugar Bars, Peppy San, just to name a few.
